Future Education: Experimenting with Chemical Reactions in Virtual Reality Program: This project demonstrates how VR can revolutionize how students interact with reactants and reaction products, allowing them to observe and manipulate chemical reactions in a controlled and fully immersive environment. By creating a virtual laboratory, participants can directly experience the effects and dynamics of various chemical reactions without the risks of handling real substances. This approach not only increases student engagement and curiosity but also improves information retention and a deep understanding of chemical processes. This project illustrates how the combination of Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Reality can transform STE(A)M education by providing a more interactive, safe, and accessible educational method. Our solutions present significant advances in educational practices, with the technologies used increasing student engagement exponentially. In other words, by incorporating Artificial Intelligence algorithms within virtual environments, we can take the field of eLearning to a higher level.

The EUconomics project was co-funded by the European Commission through the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet program. The project was implemented at Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iași (UAIC) from 2020 to 2023, and primarily aimed to enhance students’ understanding of the European Union’s functioning and policies, particularly its financial and monetary dimensions. By providing this foundation, the program sought to improve students’ career prospects in national and EU institutions, while also encouraging active civic engagement. In addition, the program sought to strengthen the EU-oriented culture at UAIC by enhancing the relevance of its academic programs to the business sector and practical applications within the EU context. As a student-centered initiative, the program delivered, at its core, three interdisciplinary courses, totaling 120 hours annually, to 135 students. These courses focused on EU integration fundamentals, fiscal policies, and monetary strategies. Innovative teaching methods, such as case studies and decision-making simulations, enriched the learning process, equipping students with critical thinking and problem-solving skills. A dedicated learning kit—including a specialized book, newsletters, and online resources—supported independent exploration of EU-related topics and ensured continuous learning.

Redefining Education in Universities Using Mixed Realities Technologies

Mixed Reality University Campus is an application for Meta Quest 2 and Microsoft HoloLens 2 headsets that wants to change how higher education works. It uses Mixed Reality (MR) and Digital Twin tech, giving learners and teachers a virtual view of the Faculty of Computer Science. This lets them interact with classrooms and resources in ways that old-school methods can’t handle.

The remote learning setups and virtual spaces face big problems like making things easier to access, keeping students interested, and being more welcoming for all. With smart AI chatbots, students can walk around the virtual campus, get help with schoolwork, and find learning tools suited for them. Through blended tech stuff and newer teaching methods, this program improves the education journey and helps students prepare for the future by connecting tech with learning.
